Dr. György Bácsatyai Attorney at law

He earned a degree at the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He gained practice as a university student at Martonyi and Kajtár Baker & McKenzie Law Firm.

As a junior associate he worked at Réczicza Law Firm White&Case LLP (today: Dentons Réczicza Law Firm), primarily in the fields of energy and telecommunications law. This gave him a chance to participate in what was known as the first round of harmonization of Hungarian telecommunications law, and in the international arbitration proceedings regarding the sale and purchase agreement of a power plant sold during privatization.

He has been an attorney-at-law and a member of the Budapest Bar Association since 2005. Early in his career as an attorney he worked together with Kővári Tercsak Salans Law Firm (since then they have also joined Dentons’ Hungarian office) in the fields of film, real estate, and general corporate law.

For over 10 years, he has practiced in association with Lajer Law Firm in the fields of banking law (payment services, compliance, and treasury) and real estate law matters (real estate development and related areas). He gained special experience in setting up cash-pooling structures; in outsourcing matters; and in founding condominiums and related land registry matters.

In addition to Hungarian as his mother tongue, he masters the English language to be able speak and work at a professionally high level.
